    Logarithmic Equations

    Equações Logarítmicas

    Solve for xx: log⁡2(x+3)+log⁡2(x−1)=5\log_2(x + 3) + \log_2(x - 1) = 5

Use the logarithm product rule: log⁡2(a)+log⁡2(b)=log⁡2(ab)\log_2(a) + \log_2(b) = \log_2(ab). Then convert to exponential form.

    Solution

    Step 1 of 7

    1. 1.log⁡2((x+3)(x−1))=5\log_2((x+3)(x-1)) = 5
