    Perpendicular Vectors

    Vetores Perpendiculares

    Find the value of kk such that vectors a⃗=(2,k,3)\vec{a} = (2, k, 3) and b⃗=(4,−1,2)\vec{b} = (4, -1, 2) are perpendicular.

Two vectors are perpendicular when their dot product equals 00.

    Solution

    Step 1 of 4

    1. 1.a⃗⋅b⃗=2(4)+k(−1)+3(2)=0\vec{a} \cdot \vec{b} = 2(4) + k(-1) + 3(2) = 0
