    Which Bike Hire Is Cheaper

    Qual o Aluguer de Bicicletas Mais Barato

    Two firms hire out bicycles. Firm A charges a joining fee of 1515 euros plus 33 euros per hour. Firm B charges 55 euros per hour and no joining fee. For how many hours of hire do the two firms cost the same, and which firm is cheaper for a ride of 55 hours?

    Write a cost expression for each firm in terms of the number of hours before comparing them. "The same cost" is an equation; "cheaper" is a comparison you can settle from those same two expressions.
