The Line of Points Equidistant from A and B
A Reta dos Pontos Equidistantes de A e B
Two points are A(-2, 1) and B(6, 7). Find the equation of the set of points that are the same distance from A as from B, and decide whether C(5, 0) belongs to it.
That set is a straight line with two defining properties: it passes through one particular point of the segment and meets it at a particular angle. Each property gives you one of the two things a line equation needs.
