Surface Area of a Prism Read from Its Net
Área da Superfície de um Prisma Lida na Sua Planificação
A net folds into a prism whose two end faces are right-angled triangles with legs 6 \text{ cm} and 8 \text{ cm}. The prism is 15 \text{ cm} long. Find the total area of the net, and state the width of the widest rectangle in it.
A net shows every face laid flat, so its area is the surface area: two triangles and three rectangles. Each rectangle is as long as the prism and as wide as one side of the triangle — and one of those sides is not given.
