    Sequências e Padrões

    The nnth term of a sequence is given by Tn=n2+3n−2T_{n} = n^{2} + 3n - 2. Find T10T_{10} and determine the value of nn for which Tn=68T_{n} = 68.

Both parts use the same formula: in one you substitute a value of nn, in the other you solve for nn.

    Solution

    Step 1 of 6

    1. 1.T10=102+3(10)−2=100+30−2=128T_{10} = 10^{2} + 3(10) - 2 = 100 + 30 - 2 = 128
